    Is the Founder of GIA Innovative Building Designing, a growing architectural practice with a vision deeply rooted in the future of the Turks and Caicos Islands. He is responsible for guiding the firm’s creative direction and long term mission: to design homes and spaces that elevate local living while honouring the natural beauty and cultural identity of the islands.

    Driven by a personal commitment to contribute to the architectural development of the twin islands, Waylan has a particular focus on sustainable, context-sensitive residential design. His work aims to provide modern, purposeful solutions to the challenges of building in tropical and often underdeveloped environments, with a strong emphasis on blending innovation with environmental sensitivity.

    A passionate islander and proud native of Turks and Caicos, Waylan's ambition is to bring fresh energy to local architecture by establishing a full-time presence and design studio on the islands. His designs reflect a deep respect for place balancing durability, simplicity, and beauty while striving to inspire the next generation of architecture in the Caribbean.

    Through GIA, he is building more than homes he is building a future for his country.

    EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATOR

    Kharise Williams is the Executive Administrator at GIA Innovative Building Designing, where she leads the operational, organizational, and strategic administrative functions that power the firm's success. With a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and a Master’s degree in Psychology, Kharise brings a unique blend of executive leadership and human-centred insight to her role making her an invaluable asset in the architecture industry.

    Her expertise in business operations allows her to design and manage systems that keep the studio running efficiently, while her psychological acumen enhances team dynamics, client relations, and internal communications. At GIA, she ensures that every project no matter how complex is supported by strong administrative foundations, timely coordination, and seamless execution.

    Kharise’s contributions extend beyond the office. Her leadership plays a central role in building the culture and future of GIA as it grows into a leading architectural practice within the Turks and Caicos Islands. With a sharp mind for business and a deep understanding of people, she is instrumental in aligning the firm’s operations with its creative vision helping turn design ambitions into built reality.

  • Marianne Jaylo

    Architectural Designer

    Marianne Jaylo is a Architectural Designer at GIA Innovative Building Designing. She brings to the studio a strong foundation in architectural drafting and interior design, combined with a natural eye for detail and a passion for creating spaces that are both meaningful and functional.

    Currently completing her Bachelor of Science in Architecture at Cavite State University, Marianne has already gained hands on experience through a range of residential projects, working as a designer and social media manager across various design services and construction firms. Her technical skills span makes her a versatile contributor in both design development and visual presentation.

    Marianne is known for her dedication, adaptability, and strong work ethic. She thrives in collaborative environments and approaches each project with a willingness to learn and grow. Her interest in event and social media design also allows her to bring a fresh perspective to the GIA brand, both online and in practice.

    With her drive and growing expertise, Marianne plays an integral role in supporting GIA’s mission to shape the architectural future of the Turks and Caicos Islands.
